Description

This stationary vertical cycle-ergometer has been studied for gyms and sport centers. It’s useful to improve the athletic fitness and cardio monitoring. Besides it can be used as a valid steady instrument for physical rehabilitation in medical and therapeutic field. Movement from 0 to 600 Watt constant. This machine is made with high tech and quality materials allowing high performances in total silence and reliability. You can select the different languages pushing on flags: Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, Polish and Chinese; and unit of measurement Km/h and mph. At the end of each exercise/test, the cycle-ergometer will automatically go to exercise summary. It’s possible to watch videos or listen music during the use with connection via USB key.

Dimensions: 120 x 55 x 148 h cm, Weight: 80 kg.

This equipment has a multifunction touch screen digital console for seeing time (hh:mm:ss), distance (km), time to (km), calories (Kcal), Cardio (BpM), watt, RPM and speed (km/h), and can be used as follows:

  • Remote use RS232
  • Manual
  • Cardio (H.B. Constant)
  • Fat burning (H.B. Constant)
  • Time (count-down)
  • Distance (count-down)
  • Calories (count-down)
  • Profiles (Preset)
  • Free profiles
  • Test (Preset and Free)
  • Video / music / via USB

Manual use
Set up watts with +/- Watt key and push START key to start up the exercise. Finish the exercise gradually to have regular heart beats. Put both hands on hand sensors or fit the chest belt to see the heart beats waiting for about 8 seconds for showing.

Cardio / fat burning
Studies and researches underline that to get remarkable results and to have no risks concerning too heavy or "soft" trainings it is important to work keeping the heart-beats frequency within max. and min. values. Cardio and Fat Burning training programmes are studied on these bases. If the goal is to burn fat, the training must be done at 55-65% of own theoretical heart rate while if the aim is to increase the cardio condition the training must be done at 75-85% of own theoretical heart rate.

Time
It allows the user to do an exercise with a decreasing preset time. It’s possible to set up the time and watt of warm up, cooldown and exercise. After pushing CONFIRM key you will start the warm up. At the end of warm up preset time, the machine will automatically start the exercise and at the and goes to cooldown.

Distance
It allows the user to do an exercise with a decreasing preset distance. It’s possible to set up the time and watt of warm up, cooldown and exercise. After pushing CONFIRM key you will start the warm up. At the end of warm up preset time, the machine will automatically start the exercise and at the and goes to cooldown.

Calories
It allows the user to do an exercise for burning preset calories. Insert personal data for a correct calculation of calories. It’s possible to set up the time and watt of warm up, cooldown and exercise. After pushing CONFIRM key you will start the warm up. At the end of warm up preset time, the machine will automatically start the exercise and at the and goes to cooldown

Personal data
Before pushing START key to begin any exercise, push the key to set up the personal data (sex, age, weight, Max theoretical HB, HB Min and HB Max). These values will be necessary to calculate correctly the burned calories and the Max Theoretical HB not to be exceeded during the exercise/test.

Profiles
It’s possible to choose one of 10 preset profiles. Then set up Watt max, Watt min and Time. Push CONFIRM key and START key. Use the black arrow to return back. During the exercise it’s possible to change the Watt values. The machine will calculate the new effort values for each step. Each of these 10 profiles consists of three phases: (1) Warm up: It gradually increases HB bringing them within the lowest value of the optimal heart rate, (2) Interval Training: It includes some hills of different intensity of effort, (3) Cooldown; This phase gradually slows down the heart rate by bringing it almost within the initial values and allowing the body to drain the lactic acid developed into the muscles due to the prolonged effort that may cause stiffness and cramps. At the end of cooldown, the machine will show the exercise data

Free profiles
It’s possible to choose or create one of 100 free profiles.

Some preset test

CHR test (Constant Heart Rate) is 5 minutes test where the heart rate is kept constant during the space of the work protocol. Therefore, the user will be submitted to a certain effort (fixed on the basis of his weight and age) that will remain constant for the duration of the test. The aim is to monitor heart rate value finding a curve that increases in the first work phases, becomes stable for a time limit and slowly increases by training. Longer the heart rate remains constant, better is the condition of the user. If after 2-3 months, the user increases the effort with the same HB it means that the user has improved his shape.

CWL test (Constant Work Level) is 5 minutes test where the effort/watt is kept constant during the space of the work protocol. If after 2-3 months the heart rate is being decreased reaching the same speed, it means that the user has improved his shape level.

RUNNER test is an increasing loads test that foresee a series of steps where the watts are increased. At start the machine sets up a watt value for one-minute warm up. Watt value is automatically increased every 60 seconds. The detector should test the heart range of the user at every step. Once the increasing phase is over (12 steps) the machine will automatically bring for 5 minutes the watt value as the first 60” for untiring.

The test will finish after 18 minutes or when the user is no more able to increase the speed proposed by the machine (pressing STOP key). The only thing to do now is to make a diagram as the one hereafter reproduced where to insert the value of the H.R. and time. With the graph it shall be possible to test the changing of H.R. compared with the reached effort, if under the same watt value, the H.R. decreases, it means that the subject has improved his state of health from the point of view of the cardio-circulatory aspect. It will be up to the trainer to interpret and explain the results of the Runner test.

Vo2Max test shows the maximum oxygen volume consumed in one minute by the user. Vo2Max is the maximum level of the exercise that the user can bear for about ten minutes. The effort must be regulated in way that the HB is always the same during the test. If after 2-3 months, the user increases the effort with the same HB it means that the user has improved his fit.
