This technology enables the user to assume and maintain an upright position, and to move indoors with the assistance of a carer.
The user is lifted into a standing position by means of a (rechargeable) battery-powered electric motor operated by hand control, while the movement of the movement of the thoracic support accompanies them throughout the lift.
The thoracic support has a safety sensor for the user to stop the standing sequence at any time. A series of adjustment ensure the aid can be adapted to the user's morphological characteristics.
In particular, the main body can adjust to the user's height by means of a gas spring assisted system, or electrically via a motor unit. To better restrain the trunk at the sides, the handles can be tilted and adjusted in depth. The seat, elongated and fixed, is designed to help the user transfer from their wheelchair to the aid.
